Gurdwara Pakki Sangat, Munger
Gurdwara Pakki Sangat, Munger around 170 kilometres east of Patna Sahib.
This is another place where Guru Tegh Bahadur ji is known to have stayed during his eastward journey. It was during his stay here that he got the news of the birth of Guru Gobind Singh ji.
It is on record that from here the Guru wrote a letter to his wife Mata Gujri Ji at Patna, who was awaiting the delivery of their expected child. As fate would have it the child was a male whom they named Gobind Rai. The young child, who would one day create the Khalsa and pass the Guruship to the Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji.
The Temple is now converted into a Gurudwara.
Baisiakhi and other Gurpurabs are celebrated here.
Gurdwara Sahib old building was damaged badly by the 1934 earthquake, however, rebuilt within a year.
Two relics, a cot and a pillow said to have been used by the Guru during his stay here, are kept in the same room where Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji is seated.
