Gurdwara Baoli Sahib, Pehowa
When Guru Nanak Dev ji came to this place, the Pandits were having over bearing influence on the people.
They were looting the people by means of hypocrisy. They had got made an ear ring equal to the size of a chariot wheel and had thrown it into the river Saraswati.
The pilgrims who came there for emancipation were used to be shown that ear ring and told that ear ring of mata had fallen into the Saraswati while she was having a dip and the same had grown into chariot wheel size during the night itself.
When Guru Nanak Dev ji came to know of this hypocrisy he said to the Pandits, 'it is true that the donation made here increase like this but think how many times the sins of those increases who deceive innocent people and commit sins at this place and loot the poor people.
The Pandits had no reply to this question.
They fell at Gurujis feet and begged pardon. Staying here for a considerably long time Guru Nanak Dev ji went into meditation and gave sermons to the congregation.
Now Gurdwara Baoli Sahib is situated at this place.
Guru Amardas ji, Guru Har Gobind Sahib ji, Guru Tegh Bahadur ji and Guru Gobind Singh ji also blessed this place with their presence.
